A wonderful week-end!
This weekend I had so much fun. First, on Friday night, we went to see my sister's high school's football game. My sister's school (Notre Dame High School) was versing another High School named Crespi High School and Notre Dame won! It was really close to being a tie but the score ended up being 26 to 28.
Then, we drove to Santa Barbara where we stopped at a nice hotel with a pool and a spa. On Saturday morning, we went hiking. The hike was not so long, it was about 1 hour and 45 minutes. the view from the top was incredible! On the trail there were some amazing plants with a very good smell and we picked some up and what a delight it was for us!
Next, we went to the Pier where we ate some delicious Sea Food. Including, Crab, fish and ships, and calamaris. I ate calamaris and shared a crab with my dad.
Then, we went to the Historical Museum of Santa Barbara. It was really interesting and very cool too! It actually had a magic painting which means that when you pressed a button, it had somebody talking in it. After staring at it for a while, I realized that it was a screen that they made to look like that person in the painting was actually talking to us.
Then, we went on the board walk. My parents were walking, my older sister was jogging, I was on my scooter, my little sister was on her scooter and my brother was on his skateboard. The boardwalk was near the pier, and when you reached a certain point, there was fascinating structure which was very colorful!
We stayed at the boardwalk for a long time and after that we left for a camping place.
Before we went into our cottage, we stopped at a bar/restaurant. Their were two different rooms. One was the bar and I loved it because they were playing guitar inside and I am learning how to play guitar so it really helped me. The restaurant's name was, Cold Tavern.
The we drove about 10 more minutes and got to our cottage. Our cottage was very nice and we had one bunk bed which my sister and I slept in, one queen sized bed which my brother and my little sister, and one king size bed which my parents slept in. The cottage was pretty small but it was just the right size for us!
This is what our cottage looked like:
(the one on the right)
In the morning, right after we woke up, I played a game card with my mom and then we went to eat breakfast at the lodge. It was scrumptious! I had amazing hash browns. Then, we went to the chapel and did a little prayer. And then, we went to the tetherball court and played some for about 15 min.
Sadly, due to the rain we had to come home a little early back home.
I had a phenomenal weekend!
What did you do this weekend?
Which frame from the wall do you think is the haunted one?

Going Roller Skating at Venice Beach
Saturday I went to Venice beach with my brother, my little sister and my mom. My brother and sister were biking and my mom and I were rolling skating.
It was so amusing! We went to all the little shops and I had forgotten my jacket so I got a jacket, I love the jacket!
Have you ever been to Venice beach?
Do you know how to roller skate?

Using my imagination to create a Hotel
As you may know, I am very creative! At home, we have thin blocks and I used them to make a Hotel. I put room numbers on every room. It looked great.

My family loves to play with them! Wit these bricks my brother also made a huge tower. It was so big it almost touched the ceiling and it was bigger than my dad!
Do you have a lot of imagination?
Do you ever build towers?
Going to the market
Every Saturday, I go to the market with mom. I love this market because there are so many varieties. There are peaches of every sort, tomatoes of every kind...
Look at all these varieties!
Have you ever been to a market?
Going Hiking
Yesterday, I went hiking with my mom, my brother and little sister. It was an easy hike with a beautiful view!
We had so much fun, we tried looking for our house in the view but it was so big we could hardly tell one house from another. Sometimes we thought we found it but when we told it to others we couldn't find it anymore because the view was so big!

Summer Fun!
I am spending my whole summer in France. Therefore, I am going a whole lot of different places in France. I started by going to Paris and going to the Eiffel Tower, visiting my old school, and spending one week-end at my friend's.
Everybody was supporting our team!
In Normandy we were with some our cousins and had tons of fun!
Then, we went to the Basque country where some of our cousins from my dad's side were. It was really fun there! I surfed a lot with some friends and with my siblings.
We also went to a traditional party in the basque country named Le Torro De Frigo. It is really fun! They even have fireworks!
We also went to Spain because it really close to the Basque Country. It is about half an hour from the Basque Country! There we went on a hiking trail it was really beautiful and the view was beautiful!
The Basque country is really a beautiful country. Most of the houses there are in either red and white or green and white. There are amazing sunsets there and as you know, I simply adore sunsets!
After a fabulous 2 weeks in the Basque Country, I went to Corsica. There too there are beautiful sunsets!
And in Corsica too there is a beautiful view:
In Corsica we own a place that is gorgeous ! You can scuba dive in the water and you see ton of pretty fish! We also camp there! it is really fun because there is no electricity so we use candles to have light and there is only a tiny kitchen and an old bathroom. We usually have pizza and we make a fire to cook it. It is really fun!
We spent 2 weeks in Corsica too and had lots of fun again!
Then, we had to say bye bye Corsica!
And then we took the ship back.
And once we arrived, we had to take the airplane to America!
Once I arrived in America, I had to go back to school...
This was really a fantastic summer!
What did you do this summer?
Please tell me all about it!
Then I went to Versailles to see both of my grandparents. With my grandma, we visited the Chateau of Versailles. I also saw some of my cousins there.
Then I went to Normandy where some of my cousins were. At that time, the Euro 2016 was happening. It is a competition of soccer between all the teams in Europe. I watched almost every game! France got into final but lost versing the Portugal. All mu cousins were cheering for every goal that was made by France. We also put the France's flag on our faces to support our team!

Graduations!
Yesterday was the last day of school so everybody who was graduating from Elementary School, Middle School, or High School.
My brother graduated from Elementary School but I didn't get to attend the ceremony because it was during our school time.
However, my sister graduated from Middle School and her time was after school. So, I got to attend her celebration!
Since it was a special event, I had to dress nicely; which means I had to wear a dress.
A plethora of people had brought balloons including me:
First, the graduates walk in with a music that shows that the event is about to start. Then, everybdy cheers and claps when they see their relative, kid or neighbor walking in.
After that, all the graduates sit down on chairs that have already been prepared for them.
Next, all the staff and teachers hand out awards to some remarkable students. I was proud to hear my sister's name in the loudspeaker for being an outstanding student.
My second grade teacher, Ms. Fitzner had had a student named Hannah and Hannah had told her that she was chosen to give a speech at the graduation in front of everybody. I told Ms. Fitzner that I would look for her and I saw her when she was giving an amazing speech.
Did you graduate from a school? Tell me about the ceremony.

Happy Birthday Mrs. Yolllis!
This post is dedicated to: My beloved teacher, Mrs. Yollis.
You have been an outstanding teacher this year and I would love to be in 3rd grade again just to be with you again!
With you we learned so much! For example, with you I practiced working in TEAMWORK. It was especially a good practice when we did the Breakout EDU.
You always were there to help and always so nice!
It was also great having you as a teacher because you let us do calls and projects with classes and people from all around the world. For instance, you did a Hangouts Video Call with an orphanage in Mexico. You also did a monster project with an Australian class.
Thank You for being such an amazing teacher!
To my classmates: Please leave a comment to tell Mrs. Yollis how much yo are grateful she is your teacher and wish her a Happy Birthday!

Fire!
This afternoon, when I was reading in my room, I heard my sister call out, " Come see, Sporty Katie! There is a fire outside!" I was so excited and stressed.
Then our whole family went out to gaze at the amazing site. It was kind of scary because we saw the fire getting really close to some houses. I was terrified by the thought that the fire could burn our house down!
Luckily, we had a lot of firefighters fighting to get the fire out! Sometimes the fire was really close and sometimes it got bigger.
We were almost going to go to our friends' house in Tarzana, but then we watched the news and saw that the fire had calmed down a little bit. We had already packed all our bags just in case we had to leave.
Did you see the fire?
Were you scared?

As Long as there Are Mountains
As you know, I love reading! Or if you didn't know, now you know ;)
Anyway, I am reading a fabulous book titled , " As Long As There Are Mountains" by Kinsey-Warnock. I love this book because it is from the point of view of a girl that so far seems to be exactly like me. For Instance, she does not like wearing dresses and neither do I.
This book is about a 13 years old girl who has grown up farming and dreams of keeping care of it when she grows up. However, her brother Lucien completely disagrees...
What book are you reading?
Do you recommend it?
Try to convince me to read it!
A Bunch of Active Student Bloggers!
This year has been a year where we incorporated a lot of blogging into. Some outstanding writers got their own blog.
For example, I got my own blog. A bunch of other students in my class got their own blog too. In our blogs, we like to post interesting things we have discovered, something fun we did over a vacation or weekend, your first experience in doing something, a piece of writing you are proud of and many other subjects.
In our class of 2015-2016, we have Mitochandria, Smiley, Pascal, Gymnastics, Sophie Reads, XavierParker, and Soccer Girl that own their own blog.
They are all almost weekly posting and they are great role models for me. I do my best to post as much as possible.
